Day 48- Learning the Scientific Method……while our recess time is ticking away.

Today is the 48th day of school. We came in, and we found our school pictures sitting on the desk. All of us looked wonderful, so we put them away, and then we started on morning work. Then, we did some language arts with Mr. Sugihara. In this subject, we wrote memos. Then, we went to music. When we came back from music, we got to work more on the memos, and then we did some science and we worked on inferences. Then, we had our BIG break.
So, we went to lunch, and then came recess. But, since we had to give 7 minutes of our time to Mr. Steele, we had to come in and we started the science again. And then we finally got to go outside. When the bell rang, we sadly had to come back in and RTI with our neighbors. But that’s ok! We love being with our BFFS, RIGHT???!!!!So, anyway, we got to do some RTI, and then, we got to do some math with only our class. Now, remember. Since our class is like such V.I.P., then we only give limited time to our other sixth grade class. So, we got to do math with our class, and while we did this, we got to learn how to divide fractions. It was…fun……Then, we got to start a new chapter in our Social Studies text book. In this chapter, we learned what made a civilization. Then, we packed up and went home.

Day 46-Making Algorithms

Today is the 46th day of school. We came in, and then, we got started on morning work. Then, we did some work on a Judge for Yourself worksheet, and we also learned about Nelson Mandela. Then, we had break.  After ten minutes, we came back to our seats, and then we talked more about how we can and cannot help our community and country. After we had this fun little talk, we began some science. In science, we worked on putting a material list into our investigation process thingy…. Then, we went to music. And yes. We still had dance week. You know, most of us have been doing the same dance moves since Kindergarten. You are very lucky if haven’t been here that long. So, we got our dance on, and then, we came back to the classroom and we did some math. In math, we made some algorithms,
And then we went to lunch. After lunch, we came back and we did some reviewing for the big math test we have tomorrow.  After we did about half an hour of reviewing, we packed up our backpacks with school stuff, and we went home.

Day 43 - Irrigation

Today is the 43rd day of school. We came in, and we didn’t do morning work, we corrected and did some math until around 10:00. Then, we got on the computers and we took a survey about how we feel about answering stuff in class. Then, we shut down the computers, and we read until Mr. Steele said that we had to move into science. In science, we worked on the scientific method. Then, we went down to library. After library, we came back up, and we did some Social Studies. In Social Studies, we learned about how Villages had irrigation issues. Then, we went to a cafeteria, and we had…….
…….........lunch. At lunch, we had the thing I like to call, recess. After recess, came the usual RTI with the usual groups. Then, we finished up the Social Studies. After that, we got to watch the science video with the awesome funny naked guy. Ummm, I mean, uh, the awesome….yeah, I am not even gonna try. Why don’t you just ask your kid’s. Anyways…after the awesome video, we got to do some more science and we still worked on the scientific method. So, we had to work on the scientific method because otherwise, we couldn’t play with the cockroaches. So, we did that, and then we packed upm and went home for a long relaxing weekend.

Day 41-Cockraoch holding

Today is the 41st day of school. We came in, and we got started right away on morning work. Then, we all got to work on the science questions that we started yesterday since we aren’t allowed on the computers anymore. So, most of us finished that, and then, we moved into Language Arts and read more about Mr. Sugi-Hara. Then, we had break. After break, all of us came back to our seats, and we did some more Language Arts. Then, we went down to the music room, and we did our last lesson in the Boom Whackers. After music, we came back to the lovely classroom of Mr. Steele, and the time came. We got to hold cockroaches. Now, most of were very excited, and the rest of us were very grossed out. One of the people, who were grossed out, was me. I will not deny it, because I was squealing the whole time. That’s just me. So, we got to hold the cockroaches, and then, we went to lunch/recess. Then we came back and did some math. Then, we packed up our stuff, and went home.
